My simple advice: write. Write, and don't concern yourself with anything else. Write because you have something to say, and don't worry if anyone else reads it. Write because something in you has to get out. Write because you are a writer.

This is not another article attacking Texas for passing an insane law about abortions: I have no ability to grasp that level of stupidity, so I would never try to explain it.

No, what I have been thinking about lately is what comes next. Many are already talking about how — by failing to toss out this law — our Supreme Court has laid the groundwork for Roe v. Wade to be overturned. It is entirely possible we will see that happen in the next year.

Meathead saved my life.
